Hence my tentative reading list. These are books that I intend/hope/plan/desire to read some time this year. Some of them I have read before {like the three Shakespeare plays} but that bear re-reading.
For those of you interested in catching up on the classics, I'm participating in Quirky Bookworm's 2013 Classics Catch-Up Challenge. The books included in her challenge are listed under Classics.
Here's what I hope to read in 2013 by genre:
Fiction
Mystery
Classics
Historical Fiction
Fantasy
Adult Fiction
Non-Fiction
Food
Religion/Christianity
Parenting
Self-Help
History
Business
Writing
Autobiography/Memoir
Praying for you as we grow closer to God together in 2013,

Oh My Antonia - love that one! And Desperate was great! You are going to share with us after you read the new ones right? I love to hear what you have to say about what you read! So glad you are such a book lover!

Yes, I plan to review some of the books I read. I like to read reviews, especially for books people are wondering whether or not they should take the time to read. It helps me decide what I should or shouldn't waste my time on.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your enthusiasm!
Wow, very impressive. My book list looks wimpy next to yours! :) Happy Reading.
ReplyDeleteNo, I just have lofty ambitions when it comes to reading :) Inevitably, I will read maybe 1/2 of them.
DeleteWow! It's nice to meet someone else who enjoys reading classics. I hope to get through Oliver Twist this year. I also have my eye on The Homemade Pantry.
ReplyDeleteI have never read either but am putting them on my Goodreads shelf. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteGreat list! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteFound you through Titus 2 Tuesdays link-up :)
Thanks! Glad you stopped by.
DeleteBelow Stairs is fab! I loved the writing style and couldn't put it down! x
ReplyDeleteWell, maybe I will have to read it next! Thanks for the recommendation and for stopping by. Blessings to you.
DeleteWhen my oldest was young, I used to do a reading challenge with him, mine was 50 books as well.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! My oldest is 4, but when she starts reading, a reading challenge might be a fun way to encourage her to read more. Thanks for sharing and for stopping by.
DeletePopping over from the Raising Arrows link-up! What a wonderful list! I've read several here, but others are new to me or on my to-read list, too. Make sure to leave enough time for Anna Karenina. I read it two summers ago and, even though I am a fast reader, it took me quite some time! Also, I recommend the Pevear and Volokhonsky translation.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by, Ellen. I am actually reading the Pevear & Volokhonsky translation and am loving it. Yes, it is very long but the characters are so intriguing.
DeleteI hope you will visit again soon. I'll be stopping by your blog as well.
