My Reading List for 2013...Tentatively

One of my personal goals for this year is to read 50 books. I really don't like to commit to a reading list because inevitably I start reading a book, hate it, and toss it to the side, or a friend will recommend something and I get hooked on it it instead. Plus, I review books for Booksneeze so I will be reading additional books throughout the year.

Hence my tentative reading list. These are books that I intend/hope/plan/desire to read some time this year. Some of them I have read before {like the three Shakespeare plays} but that bear re-reading.

For those of you interested in catching up on the classics, I'm participating in Quirky Bookworm's 2013 Classics Catch-Up Challenge. The books included in her challenge are listed under Classics.

Here's what I hope to read in 2013 by genre:

Fiction

Mystery

Classics

Historical Fiction

Fantasy

Adult Fiction

Non-Fiction

Food

Religion/Christianity

Parenting

Self-Help

History

Business

Writing

 Autobiography/Memoir

What books are you hoping/planning/wanting to read for 2013?

Praying for you as we grow closer to God together in 2013,

  2. Yes, I plan to review some of the books I read. I like to read reviews, especially for books people are wondering whether or not they should take the time to read. It helps me decide what I should or shouldn't waste my time on.

    Thanks for your enthusiasm!

  4. Wow! It's nice to meet someone else who enjoys reading classics. I hope to get through Oliver Twist this year. I also have my eye on The Homemade Pantry.

    1. What a great idea! My oldest is 4, but when she starts reading, a reading challenge might be a fun way to encourage her to read more. Thanks for sharing and for stopping by.

  8. Popping over from the Raising Arrows link-up! What a wonderful list! I've read several here, but others are new to me or on my to-read list, too. Make sure to leave enough time for Anna Karenina. I read it two summers ago and, even though I am a fast reader, it took me quite some time! Also, I recommend the Pevear and Volokhonsky translation.

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Ellen. I am actually reading the Pevear & Volokhonsky translation and am loving it. Yes, it is very long but the characters are so intriguing.

I hope you will visit again soon. I'll be stopping by your blog as well.
