To Be Brave For Our Daughters

To Be Brave is . . .

Acting when it's easier & safer to run & hide

When I'm brave I don't worry about the minutiae of my day. I don't get pulled down by Satan's power-hungry grasp. I stand firm, resolved to move forward and keep my two awkward feet in motion.

One step at a time.
Forward.
Go!

When I'm brave my focus is on the One who fills me with strength, courage, & resolve. I have determined to follow Him, resist the devil, and tell the god of lies to "flee from me." I step over the carcasses of doubt, worry, fear, and anxiety that Satan has hurled at me but which I have boldly attacked, fully clad in the armor of God.

When I'm brave my daughters see how to face pain and uncertainty with a smile. They see that they too can face giants and move mountains if their trust is in the omnipotent One and not in self.

When I am brave, my daughters learn how to be brave, too.

  1. I'm a girl mom too and I just love this. Isn't it our bravery in Christ that we want to pass on to those sweet girls? This was lovely. Stopped by to share grace from Lisa-Jo's today!

  3. Absolutely. All of our strength comes from Christ alone. Great post!
